Due to the nature of work carried out in biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, laminar flow cabinets and isolators, a routine performance evaluation or validation and service is essential to ensure that the cabinet is performing well and providing proper protection for the operator, environment and the product. It is not only the requirements of international / national standards but also the strict requirements to self’s own health and safety.

 The validation should be performed by a third party upon installation, relocation of the cabinet, after major maintenance and when performance may be a doubt for the end-user.

 SmartCal has ASHRAE 110 certified Team from CETA United States for all types of Fume Hood cabinets.

 SmartCal uses world-class advanced validation tools operated by professional engineers that have had regular trainings and follow strict international standards for the accomplishment of such tasks.

Fume Hoods

A fume hood is a type of local ventilation cabinet that is designed to limit exposure to hazardous or toxic fumes, vapors or dusts. Two main types exist, ducted and recirculating (ductless). The principle is the same for both types: air is drawn in from the front (open) side of the cabinet, and either expelled outside the building or made safe through charcoal filtration and fed back into the room.

 SmartCal is totally aware of performing the validation of all types of fume hoods according to the international standard ASHRAE 110 along with the UAE national standard OSHAD CoP 52 or any determined international / national standard.
